One more great adventure to add to my list

This started out as a dare but quickly turned into a large event. I wasn't sure if I wanted to participate but realized that it would be good for business. The Lord's business. We had 2 investigators there and one inactive member. It was one of these that said if I would take this challenge then we could give him the first discussion. We have set the date. This gives a new meaning to missionary work.

Our Patch

Our darling and talented daughter, Pineapple Princess,

took a break from the pineapple plantation to help us cultivate our own little patch of word, picture, testimony and love.

We promise to nourish it carefully. We promise check on it daily. We promise to pull all the weeds (no swear words--Paul and Bon Bon AND Tami. ) We promise to feed it with the comments from loved ones. We promise to water it with our tears of laughter, joy and togetherness. We promise to expose it to the light of our testimonies (since there isn't much light here this time of year.) We promise to share it with those in need.

To a bountiful crop.

We know this is a mission NOT impossible.

We attended a baptism Saturday night that at first looked like it might not happen. The elders had taught a woman who was in a rest home (only in her fifties) who had nearly died and was on oxygen. Her baptism was scheduled for 6 pm but she didn't show up. They went to the rest home but she had left and gone to her daughters, where they were supposed to pick her up, but there was a mixup so they had to have a member go and bring her from her daughters - in her wheelchair with her oxygen tank. The service was lovely and she was so happy. Elder Taylor had to baptize her oxygen tube and all.

It went from sub zero weather today to 35 - 45 degrees in some areas around here which brought rain and you guessed turned everything to glassy ice, so we CAREFULLY made our way home without going across the lake, up hills and around curves right into the garage and have been content to stay home the rest of the day. We have four dinner appointments this week and hope we can make them all. Tomorrow is transfers and we are losing some of our favorite elders and sister, but we are getting some more really great ones - one is a reassigned elder who served half his mission in Russia, went home on medical leave and is finishing here. He will be the new district leader and will live right next door to our friend, Natasha. We are also getting a temple square sister who is from Scotland. Temple square sisters get to serve three transfers out in the mission field somewhere that there is a temple, but they get to do proselyting. Our little temple square sister from Germany is going back to Salt Lake to finish her mission. She is the one who helped Kyle write a letter to the man from Germany whose wallet Kyle found and returned to him. He sent him a German Book of Mormon along with his testimony.

I want you to know that Jesus is the Christ and I love you. Mom
